Addressing the ladies at the team’s camp on Tuesday, FIFA/CAF liaison chairman, Kofi Amoah said, “Everything is on course in camp and Monday they will be leaving for France. Our first match is on August 5 so the important thing now is that the team heads to France.”
“If we are able to get leave on Monday, the team will have plenty of time to rest, get used to the weather and probably secure a friendly before the tournament start.”
Yusif Basigi’s ladies are making their fifth FIFA World Cup on the bounce.
They will play France in the opening game at the stade de la Rabine in Vannes on August 5 before taking on Netherland and New Zealand on 8 and 12 respectively.
