Long serving Mufurila Wanderers striker, Brian Ambungeni and defender Jack Mambwe have been offloaded by the club during this July transfer window. Wesley Mutembo has confirmed.

Ambungeni who is fondly referred to as Adebayor by the Shinde faithful was among the players that brought the club back to the Super League in 2015 season after a 9 year stay in Division 1. He was prolific during the 2014 season scoring over 10 goals in the season.

He will be remembered for the long range classic overhead kick he scored against Kalulushi Modern Stars in a 3-1 win at Shinde in 2014. This was after a cross came in from the right wing but instead of heading the ball directly towards the goal, he headed/flicked it
behind him, turned 360° to rise above the
defender and hit a overhead kick just near the
penalty spot and the ball went into the top corner of the goal post.

Transfer rumours at the club are that a top
striker from DRC’s Don Bosco FC is being linked
with a move to Shinde. Another striker from one
of the clubs in the 1st Division is being linked to
Shinde. The club have rubbished rumours that some key players are on their way out.
