As he joins Lusaka Dynamos
It’s another bitter story of modern day football where loyalty and a whole more things are thrown through the window.
The Mwila Phiri raging story is no different today. The bread and butter issues have all but usurped have once again shown it’s power.
The move of Phiri from Green Eagles to Lusaka Dynamos after resigning from the service (ZNS) has received public backlash on from fans on social media saying the striker has made a poor decision to step down and make what others have described as a brave move to the Elite Boys.
But according to close sources to the player, they believe the boy is strong enough to make this decision and believes Green Eagles did not honour their end of the bargain.
“Bwezani, Mwila was supposed to be offered an officers job from the onset but that didn’t happen and you should know what that does to a player, the team was supposed to do their part and the player do his part, ” said the source.
The other one who is also a player in the service said he understood what Mwila was going through and what made him make such a decision.
“It’s frustration and you can understand, this is also a lesson to the clubs that do not keep their word.” another source said.
A former player also added that Lusaka Dynamos should be aware what the boy has sacrificed for and should make his life better. He has called on the Lusaka outfit to equate the life time job that Mwila had at Eagles.
Lusaka Dynamos have not done big business this transfer season but have done good head hunt which may just make the club a serious force in the 2018 season.
For Green Eagles, it looks like another season of troubled times with another player in Spencer Sautu rumoured to be leaving the club.
Bwezani talked to a player in this situation but with an opportunity that Mwila Photo failed to find. Name withdrawn.
His response to the reason the join the army was pretty clear
“We all join the army as sports men and this means the army is supposed to push us to reach our destiny by allowing us to go for greener pastures but if that doesn’t happen and you are a player with dreams what do you do?” He asked
Looks a different situation with this player who has gone far as a military man in sport
“Us we are here because Buffaloes has allowed us to explore and reach our destiny which is not the case with Green Eagles,” explained the player.
But did he know anything about Mwila Phiri? The response is conclusive enough:
“That boy has had offers from Zesco and other big teams but eagles has refused to let him go on loan. Bwezani, do you know that there was a proposed move to Portugal which was already a done deal the team just wanted to know how much Green Eagles wanted but they blocked the Mwila and refused to let him go.” explained the player and in conclusion he had this to say;
“I know it’s not always good to leave a permanent job but the boy has a reason if really he’s passionate with soccer because eagles is not doing him any good but then even Lusaka Dynamos doesn’t look so attractive to me, he could have gone to Zesco, Nana or Power Dynamos. ”
Thats it and the player has decided and we have to live with it that he belongs to Lusaka Dynamos.
All the best Mwila Phiri
