Liberty Professionsals will aim to inflict revenge upon Karela United when they face them in the Match Day 8 of the ongoing Normalisation Committee Special Competition at the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman on Sunday, March 28, 2019 at 3:00Pm.
Reginald Boateng’s men have been great at Home in this competition, Of four games played, they have won three, lost one, scored seven and let in three. 1-0 vs Dreams FC, 4-0 vs Dwarfs, 0-1 vs Hearts of Oak and 2-1 vs Inter Allies.
Johnson Smith’s men, on the other hand, have also been okay on their travels, out of four games, they have managed to win one, drawn two, lost one, scored four and conceded four. 1-2 be Dwarfs, 1-1 vs Dreams FC, 0-0 vs Sharks and 2-1 vs WAFA.
Liberty Professionals lost 1-0 against the same opponent last weekend at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Ayinase. Thanks to Enock Gator’s 5th minute goal.
Currently, the homers occupy the 5th spot on the Premier league B log with 10 points while the visitors sit top with 13 points.
A win for Liberty Professionals will see them climb up; Karela United stay top of the pile if WAFA and Hearts of Oak drop points.
Emmanuel Addo and Simon Zibo are the topscorers of Liberty Professionals with two goals each whereas Solomon Sarfo Taylor is Karela United’s topscorer with three goals.
The last meeting between the two sides at the same venue was in the 2017/2018 Zylofon Cash Premier League, Liberty Professionals won 1-0.
Inter Allies will hope to produce a response when they take on Hearts of Oak at the Tema Sports Stadium.
Elsewhere, Ebusua Dwarfs will trek to Sogakope to play West African Football Academy (WAFA) with confidence high after two wins on the spin at the RedBull Arena with Sharks shrugging it out with Dreams Football Club at the Nduom Sports Complex in Elmina.
