Hearts of Oak will tackle Liberty Professionals in the Match Day 10 of the ongoing Normalisation Committee Special Competition at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 3:30Pm.
The Phobians have achieved three wins on the bounce and are eyeing for a fourth straight win vs their regionals rivals.
Kim Grant’s men have been boosted by the display of youngsters Michelle Sarpong and Abdul Manaf while forward Kofi Kordzi have been in a decent form lately scoring in a row; vs Inter Allies and WAFA.
Reginald Boateng’s men will have to dig deep if they are to snatch all three points against a revived Hearts of Oak side.
Enterprising left-back William Dankyi was replaced by Congolese import Raddy Ovuoka in the second half vs WAFA due to injury and it is not clear if he will feature against his former side.
The Phobians have been brilliant at Home in the competition. They have won all four games; scoring nine and conceded one. 1-0 vs Dreams FC, 2-1 vs Ebusua Dwarfs, 2-0 Inter Allies and 4-0 vs WAFA.
The Scientific Soccer lads, on the other hand, have performed poorly away from Home. Out of four games, they scored one and let in four. 3-1 vs WAFA, 0-0 vs Sharks, 1-0 vs Karela United and 0-0 vs Dreams FC.
The last encounter between involving the two at the nation’s Wembley was wayback in the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League, the visitors won 1-0. Thanks to Mohammed Shaibu’s 18th minute strike.
The last time Hearts of Oak recorded victory against Liberty Professionals was in October 2013. (3-0)

Ashanti Gold will.make a trip to Tarkwa to play Medeama SC at the T and A Park as Asante Kotoko welcome Bechem United to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Elsewhere, Yaw Acheampong’s Sharks will battle it out with inform Ebusua Dwarfs at the Nduom Sports Complex in Elmina with Berekum Chelsea engaging Techiman City at the Lenclay Sports Stadium in Obuasi.
In other exciting ties, West African Football Academy (WAFA) will hope to return to winning ways following Sunday’s 4-0 thrashing by Hearts of Oak when they rub shoulders with Dreams FC at the RedBull Arena in Sogakope while Inter Allies take on Karela United at the Tema Sports Stadium.
