Football association of Zambia General Secretary Ponga Liwewe has said that the search for a new coach has reached an advanced stage and a new coach will be named soon. Mr liwewe said this in an interview with ZNBC news crew.
” The search has reached an advanced stage and soon will be able to release names of coaches who have applied. It is open to both local and foreign coaches” . Said Mr Liwewe
“Obviously word gets round a few have sent their CVs and we are looking at them. A new coach for the Chipolopolo will soon be announced” he further added.
Media reports in recent weeks have mentioned a few names likely to take over from “Chicken” George Lwandamina. Former Chipolopolo Coaches Dario Bonneti and Patrice Beaumelle have been linked with the Chipolopolo top job. Others are veteran French coach Philippe Troussier and Ex Tunisian boss Bertrand Marchan.
