Log Leaders Sensational Zanaco yesterday beat Nchanga Rangers 2 nil to restore their 11 point lead at the summit of the table. Zanaco are now on 49 points scoring 42 goals and only allowing 6.
Rangers started strong and looked good for a draw until Richard Kasonde broke the deadlock in the 68th minute as he tapped home from Fackson Kapumbu’s corner kick.
Saith Sakala seems not content with last weeks hat-trick against Lusaka as he got on the mark and added Zanaco’s second and his eighth goal of the campaign in the 76th minute.
Sensational Zanaco coach Numba Mumamba said the team is competing with their own targets that they have set and want to archive.
“We have got our own targets which we have set for ourselves which I can not reveal at the moment but we will reveal them at the end of the season,” said Numba.
“Like we did in the first round, we gave ourselves a target of 40 points and we hit 40 points. Even in the second round we have set our targets so that we can compete against own targets for us to compete well in the league.”
