Nchanga Rangers Vs Nkana FC
Nchanga Stadium – Chingola
15:00hrs
Nchanga Rangers is at home this Friday in the first game of week two in the super league. They lost the first game in Lusaka against NAPSA and already the pressure is on Bruce Mwape . They welcome Nkana who lost an opportunity to get three points against Nakambala at home and have turned this into a must win game.
The head to head records between these two sides shows Nkana with an age and they will be comfortable to continue grinding results against Nchanga Rangers. Nkana did a double against the Chingola outfit last season but in the last 16 games, Nkana has 6 wins, while Nchanga has 4 wins with 6 being draws. The last time Nchanga beat Nkana at home was in 2015 and that game ended 1-0.
Nkana will miss Walter in this encounter who starts his three match ban and he will be a big miss but truth be said, the combination of Walter and Ronald has not worked so fluently yet and hence this could be a blessing in disguise. Ronald Kampamba could spring up a surprise and rejuvenate his 2013 form. I don’t see where goals for Nchanga will come from yet and hence going for a Nkana win.

My Verdict: Nchanga Rangers 1-2 Nkana

Green Eagles Vs Zanaco
Independence Stadium – Choma
15:00hrs
Green Eagles are above ZANACO after that 1-0 victory against City of Lusaka in week one and ZANACO wouldn’t want any drop of points after they were held to a 1 all draw against 10 man Red Arrows.
Green Eagles could have won the game against City of Lusaka but they didn’t impress and if they approach this game with that approach of long balls they will be punished by this ZANACO side that is seriously looking to impress and bounce back to winning ways.
Green Eagles have a very bad record against ZANACO and every season they hope to end this winning less treat to no avail. In the last 12 games, ZANACO has 8 wins while the only points Green Eagles have gotten in those 12 games is four points from four draws. It will be another tough encounter and I don’t think Green Eagles are ready to beat ZANACO but then ZANACO also don’t seem to score many goals this season and this could be a very flat game.

My Verdict: Green Eagles 0-0 ZANACO

Konkola Blades Vs Green Buffaoes
Konkola Stadium – Chililabombwe
15:00hrs
Welcome Konkola Blades to the Super League as the last time they were here was in 2015 and they were relegated that year. In 2015 these two teams played two draws, 1-1 at home and away. A look at their further head to head on the count of 20 games , gives GBFC 11 wins while Konkola Blades only has 3 wins with 6 draws. Blades last beat Green Buffaloes in 2014 and that game ended 2-1.
I think coming to this encounter, GBFC looks ready than Konkola Blades and they may just bag this one. We are yet to see what Blades have in store but that display against Mufulira Wanderers of Green Buffaloes will be too much for Blades. I think the soldiers will win this one.

My Verdict: Konkola Blades 0-2 Green Buffaloes

Nkwazi FC Vs Lusaka Dynamos
Edwin Imboela Stadium – Lusaka
15:00hrs
The games involving Lusaka Dynamos are becoming crowd pullers all of a sudden and Nkwazi should be ready to play the new look Lusaka Dynamos. LD lost an opportunity to get three points after allowing Power Dynamos to come from behind and almost got three points from them. This is a Lusaka derby and the winner will definatley have Lusaka bragging rights.
Am not too convinced with Albert Mpande yet and he may just surprise me but I think Lusaka Dynamos will be favourite to win this one. Mpande has the players but I think they have not settled well after the sacking of Elijah Chikwanda.
Thouh the head to head favours Nkwazi in this contest, Lusaka Dynamos looks like a different new team altogether. In the past 10 games, Lusaka Dynamos has only managed to beat Nkwazi once, and that was in 2006 at Edwin Imboela and the game ended 2-0. Patrick Phiri though looks strong in this encounter and I will give it to Lusaka Dynamos.

My Verdict: Nkwazi 1-3 Lusaka Dynamos

Red Arrows Vs Lumwana Radiants
(Nkoloma Stadium – Lusaka)
15:00hrs
Red Arrows looked stable and focused in a game against the defending champions in week one. The team looks different from what we saw last season and Red Arrows can start hoping for a good season. But then that hope should also be followed by consistence.
The visitor is Lumwana Radiants who they beat at home and drew away in Lumwana last season. Lumwana beat Forest Rangers 1-0 in Lumwana last weekend and became one of the four teams to have picked the three points on the first day of the weekend.
This game is for Red Arrows to lose and they will be missing their captain Bronson Chama who saw Red in the game against ZANACO. I still think they will still have depth to beat the North Western outfit. Lumwana was poor on the road last season and that is the path they have to improve on to finish in a better position. Could they surprise Red Arrows at Nkoloma?

My Verdict: Red Arrows 2-0 Lumwana Radiants

Forest Rangers Vs Real Nakonde
Levy Mwanawasa Stadium – Ndola
13:00hrs
Real Nakonde picked a point against BuiBuildcon on day one and that is a big relief for the boarder boys who come to Ndola next for their week two encounter against Forest Rangers. The Ndola outfit lost away in Lumwana and indications say they have also lost Felix Nyaende to ZANACO (subject to confirmation).
This is poisely set to be a good encounter and its the first time the two teams will meet in the Super League. First times are always not easy but I think Forest Rangers will feel more at home and favourite to grab three points in this encounter. Ndola is not strange to Real Nakonde too as they spent barely the whole off season preparing for the league in Ndola.
But now this is the league and I think the first trip out of Nakonde will most probably end in a draw. I think both teams have equal strenghth and nothing much has been done by Forest Rangers to prepare for this season while Real Nakonde is still excited of the qualification and everything happening around them. If Real Nakonde is to survive relegation, these are the games they need to get something but Forest are not easy to beat at home just we shall see again in this encounter.

My Verdict: Forest Rangers 1-1 Real Nakonde

Buildcon FC Vs Kabwe Warriors
Levy Mwanawasa Stadium – Ndola
15:00hrs
For me this is the game of the weekend and I expect a good game of football on Sunday at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium at 15:00hrs. Buildcon managed to get a point away in Nakonde while Kabwe Warriors gave away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 at home to Nkwazi. Careless defending and not being composed led to that.
Chintu Kampamba should instill some self belief in those lads if we are to see Kabwe Warriors do well this season. This is a big test because if they are not up for this encounter then Buildcon is destined for their first win in the super league.
Buildcon has a good team but should improve going forward as the team play so defensive ! That team needs goals to compete with the rest. I think Buildcon though will be too strong for Kabwe Warriors .

My Verdict : Buildcon 2-1 Kabwe Warriors

Power Dynamos Vs Napsa Stars
Arthur Davis Stadium – Kitwe
15:00hrs
Another big game of the weekend and it pits the week one joint leaders Napsa who take on Power Dynamos at their home and this one is live on Supersport. Power Dynamos did a very good and emphatic come back from 2-0 to actually lead 3-2 in that pulsating encounter in week one against Lusaka Dynamos at Heroes stadium. They looked good and they will be a threat to Napsa Stars.
One interesting aspect of this encounter is Tenant Chilumba meeting up with his former players, he knows the inside of Power Dynamos and he is the best man to advice his players in this encounter. Nothing much of the philosophy has changed from the time he left though Dan Kabwe has brought in attacking option and a lot goals are now counting. It will be interesting to see how he lines up his new team against his former team. Am just wondering if a coach is allowed to celebrate if his team scores against his former team.
Chitiya Mususu will be a serious threat to the defence of Power Dynamos just as Fwayo and Godfrey Ngwenya will be a serious threat to NAPSA.
Now Power Dynamos has an excellent head to head record against Napsa as in the last 10 games Napsa only has one win that was in 2012, Power has 8 wins and there only have been one draw.
I just think this will be another win for Power, the 9th in the last 11.

My Verdict: Power Dynamos 2-1 Napsa

Mufulira Wanderers Vs City of Lusaka
Shinde Stadium – Mufulira
15:00hrs
The two sides with serious talking points from week one meet up at Shinde on Easter Monday. City of Lusaka with two players on the bench on the first day and Mufulira Wanderers crashed with same colours with Green Buffaloes . Both lost their first games and Mighty were the worst, allowing three goals while City of Lusaka lost by a lone penalty scored by Andrew Phiri of Green Eagles.
Both teams needs to rise to the occasion and give their fans something to cheer especially Mufulira wanderers who look like a new team. Mighty fans were calling for changes during the GBFC encounter and soon Suleiman would be targetted by the fans if the results don’t go his way.
For City of lusaka I think they will be a bit patient with Elijah Chikwanda but they wont take it lightly if he continues dropping points. The last time Chikwanda was at Shinde he got a point with Lusaka Dynamos and he would be hoping he continues getting something everytime he visits.
I think Mighty playing at home is the only advantage because on the pitch the two teams look balanced. City of Lusaka almost punished a full strength Green Eagles and that will give them hope to get something in this encounter. watch out for Makandauko in this encounter. For me I think its a draw.

Mg Verdict: Mufulira Wanderers 1-1 City of Lusaka
