NKANA coach Aggrey Chiyangi says this weekend’s derby against archrivals Power Dynamos will be a “very difficult” affair considering the stakes at hand. Chiyangi told the Post Newspapers’ Darius Kapembwa in an interview

The Football Association of Zambia has brought forward the week 27 fixture due to Barclays Cup engagements on the initial date the game was to be played. Moreover, both teams have no players in the Chipolopolo side that faces Kenya in an Africa Cup match on Sunday.

The Nkana-Power game is arguably the country’s biggest and fiercest derby whose build-up and aftermath often leaves Kitwe divided.

The first match at Nkana Stadium ended 1-1with Kennedy Mudenda and Jacob Ngulube claiming goals for their teams to share the spoils.

“It’s going to be very, very difficult like the first game was, but you see now, we are at a stage where we need to go there and just fight to get a win,” said Chiyangi. “But it will be very tough because a lot of things have changed from that time to where we (both teams) are now and looking at where we are, it is very important to
win. But it will be very tough, just like the Zanaco game last week, and Power is a totally different encounter.”
